เศษหินเจียรกระเด็นเข้าตา Foreign body stuck on cornea from grinding fireball

อุบัติเหตุต่อดวงตาที่พบบ่อยคือเศษหินเจียรกระเด็นเข้าตา. Most common eye injury at emergency room is foreign body stuck on cornea

ส่วนมากเศษหินเจียรจะฝังที่กระจกตา จะล้างอย่างไรก็เอาไม่ออก

Foreign body always stuck on cornea. Even though eye was rinsed but it can't be removed. 

ต้องหยอดยาชาเฉพาะที่แล้วใช้ไม้พันสำลีเขี่ยออก หากติดแน่นต้องใช้ปลายเข็มฉีดยาสะกิดออก หากเอาออกยากจริงๆอาจต้องใช้กล้องจุลทรรศน์ช่วย 

After apply topical anesthetic eyedrop e.g. Tetracaine. Foreign body was removed with saline soaked cotton bud or tip of needle by skilled physician. If it not work, removal under microscope is need to prevent further corneal injury. 

โชคดีที่สามารถเอาเศษหินเจียรออกได้โดยง่าย หลังล้างตา ต้องหยอดยาฆ่าเชื้อต่ออีก 1 อาทิตย์

Fortunately, foreign body can be removed by cotton bud. After eye was irrigated with saline, applied antibiotic & anti-inflammatory eye drop daily for one week.

Eye protection with goggle is necessary. 

Save our valuable eyes before they got injured.
